The wife of the head of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Marianna Budanova, was poisoned with heavy metals, Babel reported, citing a representative from Ukraine’s intelligence.
After a prolonged deterioration in her health, Budanova was hospitalized with heavy metal poisoning.
“The course of treatment is now ending, then there will be medical supervision,” Babel reported.
The media mentioned that the substances, Budanova was poisoned with, are not used in any way in everyday life and military affairs. Their presence may indicate a targeted attempt to poison a specific person, according to the intelligence sources.
Previously, sources confirmed that there were attempts on Kyrylo Budanov both before and after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In an interview with Radio Liberty, the head of the Chief Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, said that his wife Marianna lives with him in his office, although she does not work in the Chief Intelligence Directorate.
