Ukrainian leaders congratulated the nation on the eve of the country’s second Christmas during the all-out war.
Ukraine’s top general, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, addressed first of all soldiers, and thanked them for bringing the victory closer:
“I congratulate you on the bright holiday of Christmas! All the soldiers, sailors, sergeants and officers, all the warriors who are fighting with arms to prevent the world from being swallowed up in darkness.
On these days, let us honor those who are not with us now, who gave their lives for our country, truth and freedom.
Christmas is a great holiday of hope and faith. Faith in the victory of light over darkness. Good over evil. I thank every defender who fights and brings our Victory closer!
Christ is born! Let us praise Him!” Zaluzhnyi said.
