The press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Zelenskyy separately prqised Denmark’s efforts in rebuilding the city of Mykolaiv and its important support of Ukraine on its way to the EU.
The main issue on the agenda was the strengthening of the Ukrainian air space with advanced fighter jets and new air defence systems.
In particular, Zelenskyy and Poulsen have discussed the training of the Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 fighter jets, which Denmark and other partners are planning to provide for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy has also awarded Denmark's Defence Minister with the Order For Merit of the 1st Class, and the State Secretary for Security Policy and Operations of the Ministry of Defence of Denmark Kasper Høeg-Jensen with the same order of the 3rd Class.
There were no reports about the visit of Danish officials to Kyiv.
Earlier, Poulsen stated that Denmark expects to supply Ukraine with the first F-16 fighter jets in the spring of 2024.
In August, Denmark announced the supply of a total number of 19 F-16s to Ukraine.
