During the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Ukraine’s Presidential Office reported.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Denmark’s consistent leadership in assisting Ukraine, highlighting the 14 packages of defense support provided by the Nordic country.
The leaders coordinated the final steps for a bilateral security agreement based on the G7 Vilnius Declaration and discussed potential dates for its signing. They focused on further defense support for Ukraine, bilateral cooperation, and collaboration with other nations to supply Ukraine with necessary weapons.
A significant topic of discussion was the involvement of Denmark and Danish companies in the joint production of drones, which could bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Additionally, Zelenskyy thanked Frederiksen for her support in promoting the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
The leaders also talked about preparations for the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, emphasizing the importance of a broad representation of countries to ensure a comprehensive approach to peace efforts.
